About LPS
LPS (Lightning Protection Services) was formed in 1991 by a management team with a combined 60 years’ experience and knowledge of the lightning conductor industry.
Under the teams guidance a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated workforce has seen LPS steadily grow to become a leading authority within our field of operations.
Throughout our years in business our key personnel has remained relatively unchanged. This has moulded the company into one of the leaders in the lightning protection industry.
UK and International
Lightning Protection Services not only cover the whole of the UK from the Shetland Islands to the Channel Islands and everywhere in between, but increasingly we have been working on international projects in Scandinavia, Eastern block and African countries.
From individual home owners to blue chip companies, LPS are pleased to confirm we have not only successfully completed contracts in the UK, from the extremities and most places in between. From the Shetlands to the Isle of White, Belfast to Norwich but increasingly internationally with successful contracts in Norway, Ukraine, Rwanda, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, The Channel Islands and Ireland.

Fully Qualified Design Engineers
We are pleased to confirm all LPS design engineers have undertaken designers accrediation to demonstrate their competence in lightning protection design to BS EN 62305
Fully trained Lightning Conductor Engineers
All LPS engineers are fully trained, qualified and experienced CSCS registered lightning conductor engineers. In addition, our engineers are trained and certified in industrial rope access, manual handling, MEWPS, working at height, abrasive wheels, asbestos awareness, CAT, power tools, safe use of ladders, safe earth testing, IPAF
ATLAS Awards
LPS are ATLAS (The Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists) award winner - 'Highly Recommended' - awarded for our works on prestigious historic buildings.
ATLAS Member
LPS has been a member of ATLAS (The Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists) formally ‘The National Federation of Master Steeplejack and Lightning Conductor Engineers’, since 1995. This being the governing body in our industry. Member No. 6644
Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group Member
LPS are active members of the Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group. LPS joined the training group in 1992 and have been an active member ever since.
